A military defeat. A national catastrophe. A lament in one of the darkest moments of Israels history. This innocent, soul-searching, God-trusting people wrestles with the unthinkable possibility that God was behind their slaugther. Yet, their faith is grounded, and is expectant, as they cry out to rouse God from his sleep.
